Studio
Studio Rey is the creative practice of Reinhard Ferreira — artist, designer, and mechanical engineer exploring the relationship between structure, imagination, and the objects that shape our daily lives. Through furniture, sculpture, lighting, and visual art, the studio investigates how creation can transform ideas into tangible experiences.

Philosophy
The more we learn about reality, the stranger it becomes. Space and time bend. Matter dissolves into probabilities. Assumptions once thought certain reveal themselves as temporary models of a universe far more mysterious than we imagined.
For Rey, this uncertainty is not unsettling — it is inspiring. Science, mathematics, engineering, and philosophy offer glimpses into the nature of reality, yet every discovery seems to uncover deeper questions.
Rather than searching for final answers, Studio Rey embraces curiosity. The work exists as an ongoing exploration of form, meaning, beauty, and the human experience.
"Art is the contemplation of life
from the standpoint of genius."
— Arthur Schopenhauer

Why Create?
While engineering seeks to understand the world, art allows us to participate in it.
Creating is one of the most fundamentally human acts. We build stories, tools, objects, shelters, images, and ideas. Through creation we transform imagination into reality and leave traces of ourselves in the world.
Studio Rey exists as an exploration of that process. Every object, sculpture, painting, and experiment begins with curiosity and becomes a conversation between material, form, and meaning.

About Rey
With a background in mechanical engineering and a lifelong fascination with art and design, Rey works across furniture, sculpture, lighting, painting, and experimentation.
His work combines technical precision with playful curiosity, drawing inspiration from nature, philosophy, craftsmanship, and the strange beauty of existence itself.
I do not create because I believe I have found answers.
I create because I am fascinated by the questions.
Every piece is an invitation to look more closely, wonder more deeply, and participate in the act of making.
